A Family Home – each home houses 12 children and a House Mother. Built on one level the building has 4 bedrooms, sitting room, reading room, kitchen, eating area, shower rooms and toilets.
The kitchen has a free-standing cooker powered by a gas bottle, a refrigerator and a freezer. The children sleep on bunk beds, each having a mosquito net. There is no air conditioning or fans and although there is an electricity supply it can be very intermittent.
We have already been very fortunate to receive positive support from G4S, the worldwide security company. They have agreed to provide 24 hour security protection with guards and electronic equipment.
