24 hour G4S Security Guards start their duties at the Casas de Esperanca.
Inaugural visit to the Natural History Museum in Maputo for the boys
The boys enjoyed a full day out at the Natural History Museum followed by lunch and a visit to the Fort in Maputo. The visit proved to be very successful with several of the boys acting as guides around the exhibits.
Secure with G4S
Contracts signed between Associacao Missao Mocambique and leading security company G4S who have agreed to provide 24 hour security guards and install electronic camera equipment to enhance the security of the children at Casas de Esperanca. A huge thankyou to all at G4S for their generous support.
Update January 2016
An intense period of maintenance is underway with the first house now fully functioning having been plastered, painted & re-glazed with new electrics, new plumbing and a new cooker. Work has nearly been completed on the second house so House Mothers and children are feeling much more positive as they can see a secure future.
